The Albert Inn, for some reason named after Albert Einstein, the famous physicist/philosopher, is the only public house on the Bridgetown side of the river. Used mainly by locals and discerning drinkers due to the excellent beers lagers and whiskies,

THE STEAM PACKET INN
Part of the Buccaneer Group and only a few minutes walk from the town centre, this bed and breakfast pub is situated at St Peter's Quay, right on the banks of the river Dart. The Watermans is probably the least well known of all the pubs in the town and is tended to be overlooked by visitors. Situated in Victoria Street about 100 yds from the rear of the Dartmouth Inn. An older type of pub frequented by loyal locals. Well known in the town for quiet drinking and cards. Another little gem.

THE LORD NELSON
You will find the Nelson at the bottom of Fore Street. it features a long narrow bar, leading to a staged area at the back. Music and satellite TV with karaoke nights and light food. At the rear is a large beer garden.

Known locally as the King Bill and found half way up Fore Street on the corner of Station Road. A very attractive building from the outside and two spacious bars on the inside. Typical busy town centre pub with all the normal activities. Above the pub the King Bill offers holiday accommodation.

A very busy young locals pub, found near the top of High Street at the junction with Castle Hill. Basically a one bar pub with a decent sized outside beer garden. Regarded by several locals as a bit "alternative".

Another totally refurbished town centre type pub found at the top of the town in the Rotherfold, with a double sided central bar and games/pool room. The bars themselves look a little dingy and worn, but the beer and atmosphere is excellent. Mainly a youngsters pub.

A pub found right at the top of the town in Cistern Street. Very friendly owners and used by locals, but non locals made very welcome. B&B, excellent beer quality, some ales straight out of barrels and 1st class pork pies.
Listed in the 2010 Good Beer Guide and awarded The South West CAMRA Pub of the Year 2008.

Closed for several months for a complete refurbishment but the downstairs bar still retaining it's "old wooden bar" feel. The upstairs is now a modern looking cocktail bar.
